Mobile Store
Mobile Link Store
A mobile store with product browsing, user login, a shopping cart and order management.
The challenge
The problem
Mobile Link Store had no online storefront, so customers could only browse phones and accessories in person and orders were handled by hand.
Mobile Link Store sold phones, smartwatches, earbuds and chargers, but customers could only see what was in stock by visiting or contacting the shop. There was no single place to compare products and prices.
Without an online store, the shop ran into a few problems: - Customers could not browse the catalogue or check prices on their own time. - Every sale needed a conversation, so orders were slow to take and easy to get wrong. - There was no account or order history, so repeat customers and past orders were hard to keep track of. - The shop had no easy way to see and manage incoming orders in one place.
What we built
The solution
A full online store where customers browse products, sign in, fill a cart and place orders, while the shop manages those orders in one place.
We built a mobile store web app with Next.js and React, using Node.js and Express for the backend. The interface uses Material UI, so it stays clean and works well on a phone.
What customers can do: - Browse a Featured Products grid with a photo, name and price for each item, and a Shop Now button on every card. - Create an account and sign in securely with NextAuth.js. - Add products to a cart and place an order.
What the shop gets: - Order management, so each order the store receives can be viewed and handled from one place. - Product data kept in the database instead of in the page code, so the catalogue can change without a rebuild.
The result is a single storefront that works on any device, so customers can browse and order without going through the shop.
